
Dr. A.B. Reddy is the 1st board certified gastroenterologist in Tuscaloosa. He was instrumental in establishing the endoscopy lab at DCH Regional medical center in 1982. He is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology as well as a Fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Dr. Rekha Khurana, M.D. attended Lady Harding Medical College. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn. Following which she did her Gastroenterology fellowship at Interfaith Medical Center and New York Methodist Hospitals. Since the completion of her fellowship in 2012 she has been practicing gastroenterology in Tuscaloosa. She is the first female gastroenterologist in Tuscaloosa and West Alabama. She is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Gastroenterology.

Dr. Subhash Bajaj is a Graduate of Delhi University in India. He has taught at Brown University and our very own UAB. He has published many papers in the field of Gastroenterology. He currently resides in Birmingham with his wife and two children.

Dr. Charles Mel Wilcox graduated from Georgia School of Medicine in 1983. He has practiced gastroenterology for 29 years and recently served as head of the department of Gastroenterolgy at UAB School of Medicine in Birmingham for about 10 years. Dr. Wilcox has published many gastroenterology journals and currently practices at UAB hospital while teaching at UAB School of Medicine.

Dr. Henri de la Baume attended University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He did his internal Medicine residency at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Texas following that his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Houston, Texas. He is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Gastroenterology. He has been associated with this practice since 2004.

Lorie Givens is a native of Birmingham, AL. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama in 2007, where she graduated summa cum laude. She worked as a critical care nurse for 8 years while earning her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2014. Lorie is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of the West Alabama Nurse Practitioner Association. She lives with her husband and 3 children in Tuscaloosa.
